Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 17 September 2026 · Last updated 17 September 2026

In short: Parampara Nest is a tool for organising your family's financial information, documents and legacy plans. You own what you put in it and you control who in your family can see it. It is not financial, tax or legal advice, and it does not replace a legally valid Will.

By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Paramparanest Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Paramparanest", "we", "us") for your use of Parampara Nest — the website at www.paramparanest.com, the web application and related services (the "Platform").

You accept these Terms when you tick the agreement box while creating an account or accepting a family invitation, or when you otherwise use the Platform. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.

2. Who can use Parampara Nest

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
  • You may create an account as a Family Head, or join an existing family as a Family Member by accepting an invitation.
  • You must not use the Platform if we have previously closed your account for breaching these Terms, or if using it would break any law that applies to you.

3. Your account and security

  • Give accurate information when you register, and keep your email address and mobile number up to date — we use them for OTPs, security messages and, with your consent, reminders.
  • Keep your password confidential and do not share your account. We strongly recommend turning on two-step verification.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, unless it results from our own failure to protect it.
  • Tell us promptly at support@paramparanest.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
  • For your protection, we may temporarily lock an account after repeated failed sign-in attempts and sign you out after a period of inactivity.

4. Family accounts, roles and access

  • A Family Head manages the family account: inviting Family Members, setting what each member can view or change, and removing access.
  • A Family Member can see and do only what the Family Head allows. Family Members can manage their own consents and data requests.
  • The Family Head is responsible for the access they grant. Anyone given access to a record can see its contents, so please grant access with care.
  • Invitations can only be sent after the "Family Data Sharing" consent is active, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
  • The number of Family Members you can invite depends on your plan (see section 6).

5. What the Platform is — and is not

Parampara Nest helps you record and organise information about your family's assets, liabilities, insurance, businesses, documents, expenses, family members and legacy plans, and gives you dashboards, calculators, reports and reminders based on what you enter.

Please understand its limits:

  • Not professional advice. Nothing on the Platform — including calculators, projections, net-worth figures, reports or AI-generated answers — is financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions.
  • Only as accurate as what is entered. Values, balances and dates are based on the information you and your family provide. Calculations such as EMI schedules, SIP projections and returns are estimates using the assumptions shown.
  • Reference exchange rates. Currency conversions use published reference rates that are updated periodically and may differ from the rate a bank or institution applies.
  • Not a Will or legal nomination. Will, nominee and legacy features help you organise and share information. They do not create a legally valid Will and do not replace nominations registered with banks, insurers or other institutions.
  • Not a bank, custodian or record of title. We do not hold, move or manage your money or assets, and the Platform is not an official record of ownership.
  • Reminders are a convenience. Renewal, maturity and due-date reminders depend on the dates entered and on third-party delivery services. You remain responsible for meeting your deadlines.

6. Plans, free trial and fees

PlanPriceSummary
14 Days Premium TrialFree for 14 daysExplore the core features of the Platform
Personal Ledger₹499 per month, or ₹5,999 per yearFor individuals; adds premium features such as Travel Kit, Bank Locker, Family Events & Calendar, Family Expenses, WhatsApp notifications and bulk import/export
Family Nest₹999 per month, or ₹11,999 per yearFor connected families; adds roles and access control, invitations for up to 5 Family Members and the Family Diary
  • The features, prices and billing period shown on our pricing page or at checkout at the time you subscribe apply to your subscription. Applicable taxes, such as GST, are charged in addition where required.
  • When the free trial ends, continued use of paid features requires an active paid plan. We will not charge you for the trial.
  • Paid plans run for the billing period you choose. We will tell you before a subscription renews and how renewal works at the time you subscribe.
  • Payments are processed by our payment service provider. You agree to their terms for the payment itself.
  • We may change plan prices or features. A price change will not affect a period you have already paid for, and we will give you reasonable advance notice before it applies to your next renewal.
  • If a payment fails or a subscription ends, we may limit access to paid features. Your data is not deleted just because a subscription has lapsed; you can still export it, as described in section 8.

7. Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel a paid plan at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access to paid features until the end of the period already paid for.
  • Fees for a period that has already started are not refundable, including for partly used periods, except as set out below or where the law requires a refund.
  • If you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after cancelling before a renewal date, contact support@paramparanest.com within 7 days of the charge and we will refund the incorrect amount once verified.
  • Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, normally within 7–10 working days of approval, depending on your bank or payment provider.

8. Your data and content

  • You own your content. The records, documents and information you add ("Your Content") remain yours.
  • Permission to run the service. You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, process, back up and display Your Content only as needed to provide the Platform to you and the people you authorise, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell Your Content or use it for advertising.
  • Your responsibility. You confirm you have the right to upload and share Your Content, including information and documents about other people, such as family members, nominees or business partners.
  • Export. You can export a copy of your data at any time from the application.
  • Archiving. Archived records become read-only and are kept in the Archived Vault as part of your family's history. Consent and audit records cannot be edited or deleted by anyone.
  • Keep your own copies. We take care to protect and back up Your Content, but please keep originals of important documents, such as title deeds, Wills and policy documents, in safe custody.

9. Third-party services and AI features

  • Some features depend on third-party services — for example AI document reading and the Ask Claude AI assistant (Anthropic), WhatsApp messaging (Meta), email delivery and maps (Google), and PIN code and IFSC lookups. Their availability and behaviour are partly outside our control.
  • AI output can be wrong. Details filled in automatically from a document, and answers from Ask Claude AI, may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always review them before saving or relying on them.
  • Your use of WhatsApp, Google Maps and similar services is also subject to those providers' own terms.
  • Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Platform for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or to store content you have no right to store;
  • add or share another person's personal data without the right to do so;
  • try to access another family's data, another person's account, or any part of the Platform you are not authorised to use;
  • probe, scan or test the security of the Platform, or bypass sign-in, access controls or rate limits, without our written permission;
  • upload viruses or malicious code, or interfere with or overload the Platform;
  • scrape or extract data using automated tools, other than the import and export features we provide;
  • copy, resell, sublicense or reverse-engineer the Platform, or use it to build a competing product; or
  • use the AI features to generate unlawful content or to try to obtain data you are not permitted to see.

11. Availability and changes to the Platform

  • We work to keep the Platform available and reliable, but it is provided on an "as available" basis. It may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades or reasons beyond our reasonable control. Where we can, we will give notice of planned downtime.
  • We may add, change or remove features over time. If we remove a paid feature that is central to your plan, we will tell you and, where appropriate, offer an adjustment for the unused period.
  • Features marked as "coming soon" or not yet available are not part of your subscription until they are released.

12. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and the Parampara Nest and Paramparanest™ names, belongs to Paramparanest or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use the Platform under these Terms. No other rights are granted. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.

13. Suspension and closure

  • By you. You may stop using the Platform at any time and ask us to close your account, from My Data Rights or by contacting us.
  • By us. We may suspend or close an account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect other users or the Platform. Where appropriate, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first.
  • Your data after closure. Unless prohibited by law or in cases of serious misuse, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data before an account is closed. After closure, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Sections that by their nature should continue after closure — including 5, 8, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 18 — survive the end of these Terms.

14. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that calculations, conversions, AI output or reminders will be accurate or delivered in every case, or that it will meet every requirement you have. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

15. Limitation of liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, Paramparanest is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, investment returns, opportunities or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform or from decisions made on the basis of information in it.
  • Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us for the Platform in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
  • These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability arising from our fraud or wilful misconduct.

16. Indemnity

You agree to compensate Paramparanest for reasonable losses and costs arising from a third-party claim caused by your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or content you uploaded without the right to do so.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Each version carries a version number and effective date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will tell you through the application or by email before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Platform after that date, the updated Terms apply; if you do not agree, you may cancel and close your account.

18. Governing law and disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
  • If a dispute arises, please contact us first. We will try to resolve it in good faith through our grievance process (section 19).
  • If it cannot be resolved that way, the courts having jurisdiction over the registered office of Paramparanest Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in India will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any right you have to approach a consumer forum or the Data Protection Board of India under applicable law.
  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent.
